This guide is intended to assist Prospect Residents Association Inc (PRA) members and supporters who are making submissions.
Prospect Residents Association Inc is happy to further assist residents.
-Read any instructions and discussion paper accompanying the submission.
- Before writing your submission, jot down points that occur to you to gather your thoughts and ideas.
- Find facts and evidence to support your views.
- Acknowledge any source/research that you use.
- It is often better to personalise your submission. Use your own words as much as possible. Include your own local experiences and concerns. Be respectful.
- Get someone else to read over your submission to make sure it concisely and clearly says what you want it to.
- Often short submissions - a one-page letter with key dot points - are enough to get your message across.
- Submissions may become public documents available for viewing on a Departments’ website after the closing date.
- If submissions are done online, you may be able to send a copy or link of your submission to your email address. (Best to keep your own copy of your online submission e.g. a screen capture).
